Michael Baine retired in 2007 from 35 years as an educator having experience as a teacher, secondary principal and Superintendent of Special Education and Student Services. In the past, Mr. Baine was on the Board of Directors for Rideauwood Addiction and Family Services, Ottawa Children’s Treatment Center and the Paul Baxter Founda-tion. Mr. Baine was also the lead consultant on a project to develop and implement a program bringing substance abuse counselors to every Ottawa secondary school.
Currently Mr. Baine is the Chairperson on the Youth Services Bureau, Board of Directors as well as the lead consultant for Children and Youth Mental Health Initiative in Ottawa. Also, he is an experienced public speaker and is regularly a conference keynote speaker on topics such as leadership, education, mental wellness and parenting.

The Speakers' Series is free of charge however seating availability will be on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SEATED BASIS. Parents/guardians can pre-register for free childcare (for children from 6 months to 12 years old).
