How is student academic performance assessed and evaluated at Glebe?

Join us in the Library of Glebe Collegiate Institute on
Thursday, November 19, 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

Brought to you by Glebe Collegiate Institute School Council, Special Events Committee, with presentations by Glebe staff.

What to expect

A presentation by Andrew Cumberland (Head, Science Department), Mark Harris (Vice-Principal) and Judith Miller (Head, Student Services). A discussion and question/answer session will follow. The session will be held in English.

  • Find out how students’ marks are derived—and how you can talk to your child about grades, performance and study habits, and provide useful support.
  • Learn how new assessment and evaluation practices are changing at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board
  • Hear Glebe’s policies on assessment and evaluation—and related shifts in teaching practices.
  • Get some ideas on tips on how to talk to your child about schoolwork homework, student assessment and grades.
  • Meet other parents with the same interests and concerns—come and share ideas.

This event is free!
